Puertos de Tenerife's cruise brochure identifies an offshore cruise anchorage and a 16 m pier for tenders at Los Cristianos. Plan for a boat transfer into the harbour.

Follow the passenger exit designated for your call and use the street-side landing point when booking a pickup.

Build the transfer and last tender back into your plan. Your ship's final instructions take precedence if it arranges a different berth or landing. Establish whether the complete transfer can accommodate your mobility needs before relying on the town's pedestrian areas.

About this port

Los Cristianos gives access to the beaches and promenade of southern Tenerife. For a brief visit, a local waterfront outing is easier to shorten than a trip into the island's interior. Allow for the tender transfer before calculating your sightseeing time.

Do not confuse a Los Cristianos call with Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Check the port named on your itinerary before arranging collection or buying a timed attraction ticket.

Getting Around

Once in Los Cristianos, the local beaches offer a visit with few transport commitments. Tenerife Tourism places Playa de Los Cristianos beside the harbour and describes Las Vistas as another beach in the same resort area.

For Teide, TITSA route 342 runs through Los Cristianos, Vilaflor and the national park. The single fare from Los Cristianos (T) to Parador del Teide is €5.50 one way. The published timetable has a daily Los Cristianos departure at 09:40 and a return from Parador Nacional at 16:00 (fares and timetable checked 2026-09-08). This suits only a call with enough time for the tender, the town boarding stop and the return journey. A pre-arranged excursion can simplify the connections, but its start and finish still need to match the ship's landing arrangements.

Things to Do

  • Harbour and Playa de Los Cristianos: use the beachfront as the focus of a short outing, with time to sit down rather than adding another transfer. Follow local beach instructions if swimming.
  • Las Vistas: an alternative beach and promenade visit. Choose one beach area if the time ashore is uncertain; a long coastal walk still needs a return plan.
  • Teide National Park: UNESCO inscribed the park in 2007 for its volcanic landscape. Treat it as a separate inland excursion. If considering a particular trail or cable-car visit, check the relevant operator's access requirements before booking.

Getting back to your ship

Build the transfer and last tender back into your plan. Your ship's final instructions take precedence if it arranges a different berth or landing. Establish whether the complete transfer can accommodate your mobility needs before relying on the town's pedestrian areas.

Practical Information

  • Money: euro (€).
  • Emergencies: 112, free of charge, with multilingual assistance in the Canary Islands.
  • Bookings: use the confirmed landing point when agreeing a pickup, rather than simply saying “Tenerife port”.
  • Time ashore: use the ship's instructions for all-aboard or last tender. Do not calculate sightseeing time solely from scheduled arrival and departure.
