Cruise ships use alongside berths in Eivissa harbour. The Port Authority's technical inventory identifies cruise use at Botafoc, and its 2026 business plan continues to identify the Botafoc cruise quays. The port map also shows the separate Muelle Adosado on the town side. Confirm the assigned quay rather than choosing transport solely from the itinerary name “Ibiza”.

The public bus provides a direct town connection from Port des Botafoc. Centre City Boat also lists the Terminal Cruceros (Estación Marítima de Botafoc) and Ibiza Ciudad (Martillo) stops, alongside Botafoc/Talamanca and Marina Ibiza. Save the name of your return boarding point before leaving the terminal.

About this port

For an Ibiza Town visit, settle the harbour transfer before deciding how high to climb in Dalt Vila. The cruise facilities at Botafoc face the town across the water; seeing the walls from the ship does not mean the walking route is equally direct.

Getting Around

Choose either a town-level visit around Sa Marina and Passeig de Vara de Rey or a climb into the fortified upper town. Dalt Vila's hilltop setting makes an ascent a separate commitment; allow time to descend as well as to reach the harbour transfer.

The municipality publishes audio and sign-language visitor guides. These are sensory-access resources, not assurances of a step-free route through the fortifications. Ask the tourist office for a route suited to your mobility.

Things to Do

  • Fortifications: visit Dalt Vila for its Renaissance walls and views over the harbour. Choose a modest section before deciding whether to continue towards the cathedral square.
  • Town and waterfront: explore Sa Marina and the area around Passeig de Vara de Rey if you prefer to avoid the climb or need a shorter outing.
  • Archaeology: Puig des Molins is a necropolis included in UNESCO's Ibiza, Biodiversity and Culture property. Check museum visitor arrangements before making a separate trip there.

Getting back to your ship

Return: save the quay name and the exact taxi, shuttle or boat collection point. Allow for waiting as well as the crossing or drive.

Practical Information

  • Currency: euro (€). Emergency: 112, free.
  • Return: save the quay name and the exact taxi, shuttle or boat collection point. Allow for waiting as well as the crossing or drive.
  • Comfort: take water for the upper town and leave enough energy for the descent.
