Ships dock alongside. The Port Authority's Instruction 01/25 gives priority to suitable cruise ships at P181, the north side of the Dique del Oeste platform, and P120, the extension of Poniente Norte. Other berths can be assigned according to availability, ship characteristics and operational needs. These are priority locations, not a guarantee for your ship.

Record the terminal number and quay from the ship’s instructions. For bus 1, Port–Estació Marítima serves the Poniente side and Dic de l’Oest–Museu Sant Carles the Dique del Oeste approach. These are port-side stops, with a walk from the assigned berth; both have city-bound journeys towards Sindicat via Plaça d’Espanya.

About this port

Palma's cruise berths are spread across the commercial waterfront. Use the assigned quay when deciding whether to walk: the city view from the ship does not show how far you must travel through the port. For a short call, choose the cathedral and a manageable part of the old town.

Getting Around

A vehicle into the centre can preserve more of a short call for sightseeing. Royal Caribbean describes the cruise-waterfront walk along Paseo Marítimo to the old town as about an hour: possible, but long for a short call. Its estimate covers the waterfront approach generally, rather than a particular berth. Once in town, choose a compact walking route rather than adding distant island transport connections.

Visit Palma's Palma for Everyone guides describe individual streets and entrances. Even the lower-town route records uneven paving, grilles and changes in level around Parc de la Mar and La Llotja. Use the detailed access notes for your requirements; “lower town” does not mean uniformly smooth or step-free.

Things to Do

  • Cathedral priority: reserve a cultural visit through La Seu's official website if going inside matters. Confirm the visitor entrance and opening calendar, then add a short central walk according to the time left.
  • Lower-town circuit: choose suitable sections around Passeig del Born and La Llotja using the city's route guide. A shorter circuit leaves room for the return transfer.
  • Bellver alternative: the municipal castle site provides visitor information and city-history museum material. Arrange transport and check access before making this a separate focus; do not automatically append it to a full cathedral visit.

Getting back to your ship

Return: save your terminal number and collection point. Leave time for the port approach as well as city traffic.

Practical Information

  • Currency: euro (€). Emergency: 112, free.
  • Mobility: check ship assistance, transfer boarding and the city route independently.
  • Return: save your terminal number and collection point. Leave time for the port approach as well as city traffic.
