Cruise berthing is documented at Vela riva: a report dated 14 July 2026 records La Belle de l'Adriatique alongside the rebuilt pier. The local pilot also describes its earlier calls that season berthing at the new operational quay nearer the shipyard, while Vela riva awaited use. These are different parts of the bay; use your ship's assigned quay name when arranging collection.

A central waterfront visit is practical on foot. SeaDream's shore programme starts at a pier and follows the promenade to the museum; its route description notes stone paving and occasional uneven surfaces. The museum's final approach is pedestrian-only. The port authority's wider description covers the whole bay and multiple operating locations, so the Vela riva walking recommendation applies specifically to an inner-harbour berth.

About this port

The Museum of Apoxyomenos and the Nerezinac heritage vessel offer a focused visit on Mali Lošinj's central waterfront. Čikat Forest Park provides a different option south-west of town. Choose the outing to fit your berth and time available ashore.

Getting Around

The Museum of Apoxyomenos is at Riva lošinjskih kapetana 13. Its operator states that the final approach is on foot and that the museum has no parking. The tourist board places Nerezinac directly in front of the museum, so these are a practical pair once you have reached this part of the waterfront.

Čikat Forest Park is south-west of Mali Lošinj and contains planted Aleppo pine woodland. Treat it as an alternative outing until you know the distance from your actual landing and the time available. A central museum visit is easier to shorten than an excursion farther from the confirmed return point.

Things to Do

  • Museum of Apoxyomenos: the displays focus on an ancient bronze athlete recovered from the seabed and the story of its restoration. Check the operator's opening and last-entry information before setting out. Individual visits do not require a reservation under the policy checked on 8 September 2026; group arrangements differ.
  • Nerezinac: the sailing interpretation centre aboard this historic cargo vessel explores Lošinj's maritime heritage. Check visitor access before counting on boarding it; viewing a ship from the quay and entering it are different plans.
  • Čikat Forest Park: choose a modest woodland outing if your confirmed transfer arrangements leave sufficient time. Take a route map and establish your turnaround point before leaving town.

Getting back to your ship

We haven't written separate return advice for this port yet. The arrival section and getting around cover the routes back.

Practical Information

  • Currency: euro (€). Croatia adopted it on 1 January 2023.
  • Mobility: the museum permits manual wheelchairs and mobility scooters and asks for at least two working days' notice for staff assistance, checked on 8 September 2026. Arrange gangway assistance separately from museum assistance; the waterfront walking programme includes uneven stone surfaces.
  • Weather: use sun protection and carry water on exposed harbour or forest walks.
  • Emergency number: 112 is Croatia's free, round-the-clock emergency number.
