Arrival & Getting Ashore
Getting to the centre: For arrivals at Primošten's old or new harbour waterfront, Rudina Square is the central landmark; the electric-vehicle prices below are the municipal distance-band tariff.
- Walk: realistic around the old harbour and through the old town to Rudina Square; the Church of St George adds an uphill climb.
- Public transport: Bucavac Melex electric passenger service, €5 one way within 1 km or €7 one way for 1–3 km, under the municipal tariff effective 1 May 2026.

The county port authority describes separate uses within the harbour: excursion boats and yachts use the old breakwater quay, while the southern face of the new waterfront serves ferries and other passenger vessels. Katarina Line includes a Primošten overnight stop in its coastal-cruise programme, confirming cruise use of the destination.
The cruise itinerary and harbour information establish calls but not whether ships usually dock or tender; use your ship's daily programme for the landing and last return time.
About this port
In Primošten, decide between the hilltop Church of St George and time beside the sea at Raduča. Both belong to a local walking visit, but the church adds an uphill section.
Getting Around
The church stands on the hill in the historic settlement. If climbing is unsuitable, choose a visit around the waterfront and the town's beach area instead.
Bucavac runs the municipal Melex passenger service. Its local distance-band prices above apply to passenger transport; the same operator manages the Stara Riva and Nova Riva moorings with the county port authority.
Velika Raduča is on the eastern side of the Raduča headland; the tourist board places it about 300 m from the town centre. Mala Raduča has a promenade and views towards the old town. That centre-to-beach distance is not a measured transfer from a cruise landing.
Things to Do
- Velika or Mala Raduča: choose a beach stop if conditions suit, budgeting for changing and the return journey. Both have pebble shores; a short walk beside the beach is an alternative to swimming.
- Church of St George: make the uphill church visit the main activity if you want to explore the historic settlement. The present church was completed in 1760 and is a protected Croatian cultural property. Check whether entry is possible around worship.
- Waterfront pause: finish near your return point for a view of the harbour before reboarding.
Getting back to your ship
The cruise itinerary and harbour information establish calls but not whether ships usually dock or tender; use your ship's daily programme for the landing and last return time.
Practical Information
- Weather: the port authority describes exposure to winds from the sea, with protection inside the breakwater. Follow the ship's decision about shore operations; published harbour dimensions do not predict tender conditions.
- Mobility: arrange any boarding assistance with the ship; choose the waterfront rather than the hilltop church if climbing is unsuitable.
- Currency: euro (€), introduced in Croatia on 1 January 2023.
- Emergency number: 112, free and available around the clock in Croatia.
